Secret ways to breeding guppy fish

Guppy (Poecilia reticulata)

   Guppy or known as the scientific name poecilia reticulata is a fish originating from Central and South America, spread in Barbados, Trinidad and Tobago, Guyana, Netherlands Antilles, Virgin islands, Brazil, and Venezuela.
    Guppy fish is the one fish that famous in the world, because that fish have a beautiful color, easily adapting to new ecosystem and easy to breed.
Now we can finding many kind of guppy, among them is  Albino full platinum guppy, Albino full red guppy and  black moscow guppy and still many more.
     Much of them try to breeding guppy fish but always failed because that guppy was die, wrong water temperature, fungal infection but if their know solution of that trouble may it will not happen.

Preparing place for breeding

To breeding guppy, first step we need to do is preparing place for breeding. We shall  use aquarium, jar, small pool or styrofoam depending of the amount that fish. The important point we need to care is
1. Temperature water is 24-27 °C (72 °F).
     We can use heater to keep temperature and keep fish still health

2. Put the salt for fish 0,1 per liter of water.
    Put the salt for prevent fungal infection.

3. Make a sure the waters have a good oxygen circulation.
    We can use water pump or air pump.

Choose a fish brood 

     To get the fish brood we can buy it at the fish shop or at the farm of guppy.
Choose a fish that swim with faster, health and have a long body and long tail because it is
identifying that fish ready for breed and make sure old of that fish is more than 2 month.
So easy to difference sex between female and male. Female have a big body even male have a small body.  Male always have mark color and full color.
For male and female comparison better a minimum is 3 : 1 it is recommended

The process copulate of fish

     After we preparing place and fish brood  the next  is proses copulate of fish.
Guppy fish will copulate and will be pregnant among 2 until 3 week

Female  fish quarantine process

   After copulated the female guppy fish will be bigger than before.  His stomach is enlarge so
that is indication  the female is pregnant. In this step we must quarantine that fish in some place like a jar or aquarium but make sure no one another fish in that jar or aquarium except that pregnant fish. So we placing one fish for one jar or aquarium.
Make sure that place for quarantine is not small Because in one step reproduction one female shall give birth 20 till 30 baby fish. if we  did'not quarantine may another adult guppy will eat that baby fish.
     After we get many baby fish we can replacing that adult guppy to his place before for copulate.
Guppy will copulate again after 4 or 5 hours after give birth.

Enlargement of baby guppy fish

    After his born baby guppy shall swim and eat by his self. We can give that baby guppy food like artemia, microworm, boiled yolk, or bloodworm. We can give that food 3 time in one day. After 2 till 3 month that baby guppy will be adult and ready for market.
