      Guppy fish is one of many kind of ornamental fish that famous in the world. Because this fish is really easy to adapting and breeding, in many place in indonesia. this fish be wild in river and lake. in market this fish more knowing as guppy or many people call that fish as millionfish, gepi,bungkreng, and many other.
This fish found by robert john lechmere guppy in trinidad on 1866. Albert. L.C. G Gunther at that years too gived name for that fish a Girardinus guppii to recpect for the founder.

          guppy is a original fish from central america, in barbados island, trinidad tobago, guyana, antellen belanda, virginia , brazil and venezuela. from great line of market this fish was spreaded to many place in the world except antartika.
guppy come to indonesia as ornamental fish while 1920. but that fish was realese purpose to eradicate mosquito larvae.
and that fish hope will controlling malaria. but it did'nt work because in the river this fish only shall grow untill 35 mm but in aquarium that shall growing untill 60 mm.

guppy is really easy to be much from breed. in 1929  was note that fish can we find in every lake in west java. untill now we can finding that fish in any waterways.
